Sky Patrol is a simple shooter game, in which airplains and helicopters move from one side of the sound field to the other. Your goal is to shoot the aircraft down before it reaches the other side.
Sounds easy, right? Well there are a few twists thrown in to make your job a little more challenging. First of all, you gain points for every enemy aircraft you blast out of the sky. However, you you gain more points for hitting an aircraft with one shot, then you do for taking 4 pot shots at it. This will be explained in the scoring section.
Sky Patrol advances through levels of difficulty as you play. There are ten enemies per level. Here we meet the other challenges to the game.
First, you only are allowed to miss four planes per level. This is plenty of chances at the lower levels of play, but believe me, you'll need those extra chances later on...because every time you advance a level, the enemies will fly faster and faster. Be shureyou blast tem all or they will blow you up in revenge!

After starting the game, you will hear a short introduction. Afterword, you will be prompted to select an option,. You are now in the Sky Patrol main menu. Navigate the menu by pressing the up and down arrow keys to toggle through the options, and the enter key to select your choice.
The first option you will hear is "start game". As you might suspect, this will begin the game, beginning at level one.
The second item in the menu is "quick help". This will give a verbal listing of game commands. Afterword, you will be returned to the main menu.
The third option "test speakers", will help you orient your headphones or speakers by speaking the word "left" in the left speaker, and the word "right" in the right speaker.
The final option is obvious,. "Exit" will, of course, exit the program.
